ENCHANT THE MUNDANE

Paracia is a Madrid-based footwear brand, built on a simple belief: in a busy, overstimulated world, the small rituals matter more than people give them credit for. We chose an unlikely medium to carry that belief — shoes, the thing most people put on without a second thought, twice a day, every day.

We call this belief “Enchant The Mundane.” It runs through every decision we make, from the shape of a last to the way a leather is tanned. Design happens in Madrid, where we work from a shortlist of archetypes worth revisiting — the loafer, the monkey boot, the Mary Jane, the slipper — and rebuild each one with a cleaner silhouette, a modern last, and details cut back to only what earns its place.

Every pair is handcrafted in Spain, built almost entirely on Goodyear-welt construction: a sole that can be replaced rather than a shoe that gets thrown away, a small technical choice that changes how long a pair actually lasts. Uppers come from mills we trust for character as much as durability — CF Stead suede, Horween Chromexcel, oiled and waxed cowhides that darken and soften the more they’re worn. We treat that as a feature, not a flaw: leather is supposed to look lived-in.

This philosophy shapes our storytelling as much as our shoes. We’re drawn to the beauty that hides in ordinary moments — the walk to work, the fourth coffee of the day, the fifteen minutes before you leave the house — and we design for the people who notice it too. We invite our community to step into a world where simplicity meets sophistication, where the mundane, given enough attention, becomes extraordinary.
