Doorstop, paperweight, container—when two hands are not enough, shoes often become the tools we reach for. Seen from a sculptural angle, our AW2026 editorial is a collection of quick solutions to everyday problems, scenarios with a nod to improvisation as a principle of design and play.
These images were photographed on a Sunday at Lola’s and Ulises’ family home in Madrid. The doors to their house are always wide open, making it a special place for visitors from all over the world who are coming, going, or staying.
