Eleni Wittbrodt
As part of our ongoing collaborations with artists, we invited Eleni Wittbrodt to enter a dialogue with Paracia.
Eleni works across time-based processes and sculpture. For “Twice is real”, she imagines shoe soles as rudimentary printmaking tools. Their continuous negotiation of touch with the ground echoes across photographic contact printing, where one surface records the other. The sole becomes a print, before becoming the origin for another print.
Eleni is a German artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. She holds degrees in Fine Art from the Glasgow School of Art and Kunsthochschule Mainz, Germany. Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions at 16 Collective, Glasgow; Galerie im Schlosspavillon/Kallmann Museum, Munich; OxfordBerlin, Berlin; Centre for Contemporary Arts Intermedia, Glasgow; 2-2-2, Stuttgart; L187, Offenbach am Main.
